Procession home for Syracuse detective: Syracuse Police Detective William “Billy” LaShomb has not woken up and has been in critical condition since he was stricken with carbon monoxide poisoning aboard a boat Sept. 20 in Sylvan Beach, friends and colleagues said. On Monday, police officers from throughout the area escorted LaShomb to his home in Bridgeport, where friends say he will receive Hospice Care and spend his final days.

City spends $1M, every classroom will get an air filter: The Syracuse school district will have an air filter in every classroom by Monday, the start of in-person school for students in that district. Superintendent Jaime Alicea announced the $1 million purchase on Monday.
