One such lonely soul is a 30-year-old man from UK’s Northamptonshire who says he hasn’t had a date in a decade! Fed up of the same, Alan Clayton decided to try something unconventional and ended up putting himself up for sale on Facebook in a desperate search for a girlfriend. In the ad posted on September 10, Alan listed himself as ‘free’ and in a ‘good/used condition’ after having no luck with traditional dating apps. On Facebook, the advert read: ‘Hello there ladies. Consumers Energy hasn’t shut off power to non-paying homes since COVID-19 pandemic hit

More people can’t pay their Consumers Energy bills in 2020 than before because of the pandemic, but the company hasn’t shut off service to any households since COVID-19 hit Michigan in March.

Consumers Energy is offering help to pay energy bills for people affected by COVID-19.

Consumers is putting up $12 million to help customers affected by the pandemic pay their bills, the utility announced Tuesday, Sept. 29. The plan is to help at least 25,000 households and 1,000 small businesses with the funding, per a news release.

For a small percentage of the funding, anybody who makes 400% of the federal poverty level or less is eligible to get help – which equates to about $51,000 or less for individuals and $104,000 or less for a family of four.

The company hasn’t specified how somebody must be affected by COVID-19 to be eligible

The Home Depot is selling a new Google Chromecast that hasn’t been announced

Google’s Pixel 5 event is scheduled for this Wednesday, but some of the company’s other new gadgets are already appearing on store shelves. That includes its all-new Chromecast, which some savvy buyers have been able to purchase directly in-store from retailers like Walmart and The Home Depot over the course of the last week.

The Verge has purchased one such device from The Home Depot and can confirm the retailer is not stopping customers from checking out and taking the pre-release product home.

Not all stores appear to be selling the item; we tried two and only found the new Chromecast at a second location. And inputting the universal product code listed on the receipt into the retailer’s website returns no results, so it would appear you can only purchase it early in person.

A lonely single man looking for love has been inundated with offers of a date after he advertised himself on an ‘Items for Sale’ Facebook page.

Alan Clayton, 30, from Kettering, listed himself as ‘free’ and in a ‘good/used condition’ after becoming frustrated with his lack of success on traditional dating apps.

The lorry driver decided to take matters into his own hands by posting on the local classified ads page on Facebook, and was amazed when his inbox was flooded with messages from women across the UK.

So far it has only led to one date, which unfortunately didn’t work out, but Alan is hopeful his unorthodox approach will help him find the love of his life.
