For six decades folks pulled up to Forry’s Drive-In on the south side of Gifford Pinchot State Park in Northern York County.
They came for the burgers, fried chicken, french fries and, of course, soft serve ice cream dipped in rotating flavors such as peanut butter and raspberry. Unfortunately, the 2020 season was the last for owners Dave and Faye Kitzmiller.
According to a Keller Williams real estate listing, the couple is retiring and selling the drive in at 910 Alpine Road. It’s listed for sale for $365,000.
“This is your old fashioned drive-in restaurant. Walk up to the window and order your favorite foods and ice cream,” reads the listing. “It has been a profitable summertime mainstay for decades of both park visitors and local residents.”
