DUBAI (Reuters) – Dubai’s Majid Al Futtaim (MAF), which develops shopping malls across the Middle East, is putting its district cooling unit up for sale, four sources with knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

Democratic poll shows neck-and-neck race brewing in Florida House district

An internal poll shows a tight race brewing in Florida’s 16th Congressional District between Democratic state Rep. Margaret Good and seven-term Rep. Vern BuchananVernon Gale BuchananMORE (R).

The internal poll from Good’s campaign, which was obtained exclusively by The Hill, shows Buchanan with a 48-45 advantage over Good among likely voters, a difference that falls within the survey’s margin of error. Another 7 percent remain undecided.

Good has a 47-41 lead among independents, and the two contenders are deadlocked at 47 percent support among seniors.

The result is a marginal improvement from the same poll conducted last month, which showed Buchanan with a 6-point advantage.

Lake Ohau homes destroyed in major Waitaki District fire

Janet Brown was lying in bed as fierce winds kept her awake when she heard an alarm go off. Moments later she looked out her bedroom window to see her neighbour’s house on fire.

The large forest fire, which is still spreading, is thought to have destroyed dozens of homes near Lake Ohau in the Waitaki District and may have been started by an electrical arc from overhead power lines. Around 90 people were evacuated after the blaze broke out at around 3am, and it was believed to be rapidly growing in size on Sunday morning.

It is largest of several blazes burning around Canterbury and north Otago on Sunday.

Firefighters are also tackling a large pine forest fire in Livingston, south of Duntroon. The blaze is close to Mckenzie Rd and also started around 3.15am. Sixteen crews and a command unit from Dunedin are in attendance and eight helicopters
